Our Management Team

For over 30 years our management team has been providing timely and innovative services to high net worth individuals and businesses in Silicon Valley.  The partners and managers have certain areas of expertise in taxation, attestation and accounting and work together as a team to provide unique and personalized financial solutions for our clients.  Our professionals are well educated and are continually learning to stay current and broaden their knowledge base.   We value all of the staff at Brown Adams Agbayani and work together to be the most trusted advisors through mutual respect and accountability.

Barbara A. Brown, Partner

Barbara established the firm in 1980 after eight years of public and private accounting experience. Barbara specializes in tax planning for high net worth individuals and businesses. She is experienced in advising clients on strategic tax planning, retirement planning, marital and business dissolutions. Barbara is also a frequent lecturer on income tax topics.

Barbara graduated from California State University at Sacramento with honors.

Barbara is a past board member of Elizabeth Gamble Garden in Palo Alto, California, and a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Pamela Adams, Partner – Retired

Pam is a tax partner, specializing in tax planning and compliance for individuals, small businesses and nonprofit organizations, including private foundations. Her experience includes income tax planning and strategies for stock options, alternative minimum tax, and marital dissolutions.

A graduate of UC Berkeley, Pam began her career at a Big 4 public accounting firm, moved into private industry and then joined Barbara in 1983. She and Barbara formed the partnership in 1990.

Pam is a past board member of Students Rising Above and is a member of the University of California Alumni Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Holly Wong Agbayani, Partner

Holly is a tax partner and has been with the firm since 1987. Holly specializes in tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals, stock option planning, charitable remainder trust planning and compliance, and estate/fiduciary taxation.

Holly received her Bachelor of Science in Commerce with an emphasis in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

Holly is past President of the Financial Planning Forum. Holly is currently on the Board of Directors of the Foothill-DeAnza Foundation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.


Norleen Bounds, Partner

Norleen Bounds brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Brown Adams Agbayani tax practice. She has over twenty years of public accounting experience in serving tax clients, including high net worth individuals, closely-held corporations, partnerships, trusts and tax-exempt entities.

Her individual clients include private equity and hedge fund partners, closely-held business owners, corporate executives and multi-generational families. Norleen focuses on working with her client’s advisors to implement multi-disciplinary solutions. Her experience also includes review and analysis of estate plans, income and transfer tax planning, option planning and evaluation and implementation of wealth diversification and tax deferral techniques.

Norleen earned a Masters of Business Administration at Cal Poly- San Luis Obispo and a Masters of Science in Taxation at Golden Gate University. She is an active member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council, California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining Brown Adams, Norleen gained experience working for large public accounting firms including Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and WTAS (now Andersen Tax). Prior to working in public accounting, Norleen was with a San Francisco law firm where she focused on planning and tax compliance for estate and trust administration clients, as well as acting as controller for a family office. Norleen has been a contributor to various tax publications including “Tax Economics of Charitable Giving”. She has also been active in developing and teaching numerous income and gift tax related trainings and is an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University – Graduate School of Taxation.
